We traveled to the Dominican Republic for friend's wedding in February. It was our first destination wedding and first time traveling to a tropical location. It was 83 degrees each day and sure beat the cold of Minnesota.
We did a boat cruise with all the guests of the wedding. It was a blast!
We visited the DR for a friends' wedding. It was our first destination wedding. A nice great from the cold Minnesota winter.
Sure beats 20 degrees and snow!
We also traveled to Australia in July. Australia is such a great place. We flew to Sydney where we spent a few days exploring with a side trip to the Blue Mountains. Next we flew up to the Queensland, in the tropical north. It was 80 degrees each day and muggy. We snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef and spend time on one of the thousands of perfect Australian beaches. Bethlyn accidentally tasted salt water for the first time! The long travel there was not nearly as bad as people think, it's well worth it for a vacation there.
A must do photo op in Sydney.
Furthest north we could drive in Queensland, Australia.
The watercolor was so pretty and snorkeling was a blast.
We flew to Stockholm Sweden and saw the sights in a gorgeous city. We trained to Olso, Norway and visited my cousins (David's cousins). Next my uncle drove us to the west coast of Norway through the mountains and fjords. The views were stunning. We spent some time in Bergen before driving back to my uncle's farm in Skein. We got to hang with my cousins and second cousins before our trip concluded. Was a great trip to spend seeing family and being with family!
We took a boat cruise showing the Nærøyfjord (Narrow Fjord)...stunning.
Museum showcasing a 300 year old ship that sunk and was brought back up.
The view from our hotel, what a goregous city.
The view of Bergen, Norway via a tram.
The River Seine
A river warmed by volcanic heat made for a great treat on a chilly day
Hiked to see a beautiful view of a glacier below and the Atlantic in the distance
Westman Islands fun, a road framing a mountain, Skógafoss and Blue Lagoon
